Hey, the enchanting process requires alkahests equal to the tier of the gear and also a fodder gear that is equal in tier or higher. For instance, if you want to enchant a T4 weapon, you will need 4 alkahest and a weapon fodder that is T4 or higher for each try.
As for the types of alkahest to use:
All types of "Godly" alkahest are for use on T1-T12 and are not usable with level 60 gear.
Alkahest is used for enchanting from +1 to +6 and can be bought from the merchant.
Refined Alkahest is used for enchanting from +7 to +9 and can be bought from the specialty store.
Past this point, you must first masterwork the gear using master enigmatic scroll and intricate identification scroll in order to be able to enchant further up to +12.
Once your gear is masterworked successfully, you can use masterwork alkahest to enchant from +10 to +12. Masterwork alkahest can be obtained from the broker or from dungeon drops.
There is also an alkahest called Extensive Alkahest which can be used to enchant from +1 to +12 and supposedly offer higher enchanting success chance. However, because of this, it is recommended to only use Extensive Alkahest when enchanting from +10 to +12 as a subtitute of Masterwork alkahest. This can be obtained from broker, various boxes and the cash shop.
Good luck!

G.U. what confuses me all the time is what kind of fodder can I use. does it have to be the same type like metal/cloth or does it just have to be the same tier and extractable? ^.~

Hey, it does not need to be the same type nor does it need to be extractable. You can use a lance as fodder to enchant your staff for example. As long as it is the same type of gear (aka weapon fodder for weapon, chest fodder for chest, etc) that is the same tier or higher than what you are enchanting, it can be used as fodder. Note that this means that you can accidentally use your gear as fodder if you are not careful! Make sure you double check what's in the fodder slot before you enchant!

Re: Enchanting... [ANSWERED]
Glad to help! To clarify further, usually the progression once you get level 60 gear is like this:
-attempt to masterwork the gear with master enigmatic scrolls and intricate identification scroll.
-Once the gear is masterworked, use more master enigmatic scrolls and intricate identification scrolls along with spellbinds to roll the lines on the gear.
-Once your gear is masterworked and you have your lines rolled, begin enchanting to +12
-Cry from the lack of gold
Right now, endgame gear means T14 Steadfast, Wonderholme, or Nightforge sets, but tomorrow, a new patch is coming with a whole new set of dungeons and T15 gear :/ It is a complicated time to be a new 60 lol
